Guru Leagues is designed to merit the sports fan who knows their sport inside out, not just get lucky with players who randomly score tries/goals etc. This is because performance points play a big role in this game. Sometimes players have outstanding games but don't actually contribute towards the scoreboard. For instance, if a rugby player has an outstanding game and doesn't score any tries, assist any tries or kick any goals and another player does score a try, but doesn't have a particularly good game, the former player will score 30 points as opposed to the latter player only scoring 10 points.
