The site is an unofficial fan site dedicated to the greatest soccer (football) player of all time, Pele (born October 23, 1940). Pele's given birth name was Edson Arantes do Nascimento, but he adopted the nickname Pele as a child. He is the only player in history to have won three World Cups, and is the all-time top scorer for the Brazil’s national soccer team, scoring 77 goals in 92 official matches. Pele played professionally for Brazilian club Santos FC and for American club New York Cosmos.
